Glad to see no one was hurt. I do have a rather stupid question since they said half the park was without power. I wonder if the amsuement park is on two different electrical grids considering that it crosses states. If that is so, which state lost power when the workers accidentally hit a power line?

Nothing big really. This happens about twice a year. so more than likely it will happen again this year.
Not really sure which side lost power. I remeber when i worked there it was the entire park but this might be different since the line was cut into.

Most likely it was part of in- park power distribution that was cut into, rather than two separate power grids.

No big deal. I remember power going out lots of times at LeSourdsville's roller coaster. The train would just stop on the lift hill until the power came back on. If the power went off after the train left the lift hill, again not a problem because we stopped the train with hand brakes. Everything was all manual after it left the lift hill.

I got stuck on the old Rocket Rods at Disneyland once on a Winter night. Got really cold just sitting there.
