Visiting Florida’s Top Theme Parks
When it comes to visiting Florida, you just can’t go wrong if you take in one of their many theme parks. Whether you’re seeking thrill rides, an African expedition, or dips into the aquatic world, you won’t be disappointed by what Florida has to offer.
Of course, Disneyworld is the largest and most visited resort and theme park in the world. Not just one park, the resort offers two water parks, four theme parks, and twenty-three hotels. Despite popular belief that Diensyworld is located in Orlando, it is actually located in its own town of Lake Buena Vista.
Disneyworld in reality consists of Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom is the part of the park that has the “It’s a Small World” ride, Cinderella’s castle, and the famous Splash Mountain.
Cultural diversity and scientific innovations are explored at Epcot Center. Some of the countries showcased in the World Showcase area are Morocco, Japan, France, Italy, China, Norway, and Germany.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom sets on 500 acres and features many different types of animal species. It even has a Lion King musical.
Another great place to visit in Florida is Universal Studios. It is actually the 5th most visited theme park in the United States. At this park, visitors are encouraged to “ride the movies.”
Contrasting to the Universal Studios in Los Angeles, which started out as a real working studio, the Florida counterpart was intended to be a theme park and movie studio from its formation. Visitors are able to feel included in many popular movies and can even go out on a boat and be “chased” by Jaws himself.
Universal Studios even has a ride based on the movie “Twister” where guests can ride out an imaginary tornado.
Busch-Gardens is another exciting theme park in Florida. It is located in Tampa and has more than 2700 animals. The park has different areas including the Land of the Dragons, the Bird Gardens, Morocco, Crown Colony, Nairobi, Timbuktu, the Congo, Egypt, Jungala, and Stanleyville. In these areas, guests to the park can see such animals as hyenas, gorillas, cheetahs, giraffes, impalas, ostriches, rhinos, elephants, chimpanzees, cranes, storks, gazelles, and more.
Aside from animals, Busch Gardens also has several rides, including the SheiKra, a vertical dive coaster. In Egypt, visitors can ride on Montu, a steel roller coaster with 7 inversions.
Another very popular Florida theme park is Sea World, located in Orlando. Here, visitors are able to go on an aquatic expedition and view marine life such as whales, manatees, dolphins, and stingrays. Visitors can also see the famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales at the Clydesdale Hamlet.
You can also see live shows at SeaWorld and watch staff interact with the animal stars. In addition, SeaWorld’s newest attraction is the Waterfront, a replica if a Mediterranean village.
Visitors to Florida could spend practically an entire month exploring Florida’s theme parks. There really is something for people of all ages, from thrill rides to animal adventures.
