SANDUSKY, OH (WTOL) –

More trouble was on tap for Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster over the weekend.

Park officials say a tire from the coaster motor of Steel Vengeance detached, forcing the coaster to stop running.

It is not clear how this happened, but it shut the ride down on Friday.

Since the ride’s opening, Steel Vengeance has collided with another train and several riders were hurt when someone threw a hot sauce packet at the ride.

The park also told riders they could no longer take their cell phones in the ride’s line as a safety measure.
