Gardaland Italy 2012: the amusement park you cannot miss {image]

The summer months bring along the best occasion to enjoy days outdoors, days of fun in family or with friends under the sun and, most of all, the best time to visit one of the most popular and appreciated attractions in Verona: the amusement park of Gardaland, the one with a longer history in the country and considered among the best waterparks in Europe.

Like every year, the park has prepared for the new season a great number of new rides and shows. The most important one this 2012 is the 4D Ice Age Experience, a ride that takes visitors to an immense ice valley where they will live through a series of breathtaking adventures alongside Sid, Scrat and all the characters from the films. The interactive platform located right in front of a huge 3D screen will be the base of this experience that includes snow, water, wind and vertiginous vibrations that make of this ride one of the most innovative 4D attractions in Europe.

In high temperature days you should not miss Gardaland’s water rides, perfect to freshen up and help cope with the heat of the hottest summer days: the Jungle Rapids will take you into an exciting journey through a jungle filled with ancient temples while on the Colorado Boat you will cross the Colorado River on board of a quite impetuous log.

At the park you can enjoy many rides for all types of publics, whether you are on a family holiday to Italy or travelling with a group of classmates, attractions for adults and children can be found in Gardaland. Among them is Raptor, a thrilling roller coaster inaugurated on 2011 and Ramses: The Awakening, fully renewed on 2009 and scenario of a battle to save the humanity in which visitors of the park are the last standing heroes.

If you travel to Verona for a few days, take the time to visit the Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium too, a structure that showcases species of marine and river creatures from all over the world in which you will be able to touch a real shark egg and pass through the sub aquatic tunnel. The novelty of this year has been already introduced and has sea dragons as its main focus. In the area dedicated to this spectacular animals you will see an infinite variety of colors, almost invisible dragons that mime their surroundings and the star of the show, the leafy sea dragon, a narrow, long-nosed creature expert in the art of undersea camouflage thanks to its leaf-like protuberances.

Consider the possibility of visiting the park on a Wednesday, the tickets until June 6th cost half the price, 18 euro instead of 36,50. If combined with one of the many hotel packages offered by the resort structure of the biggest waterpark in Italy, you can spend a couple of days at real convenient prices. Rooms at the resort have nothing to envy to the fantastic character of the rest of the park as many of them are designed on a theme, like the newest ones inspired on the Ice Age movies.

The park can be easily reached by car or with the many bus lines that connect the resort with the towns and cities of the Lake Garda area. Among them is the free bus shuttle that connects the waterpark to the train station of Peschiera del Garda.

Do not hesitate to profit from the promotions available until June or organize a day at the park to enjoy the fun water rights in the middle of the summer, the experience is certainly worth it!
