Halloween in Hershey: How to celebrate (and nab some chocolate) at Hersheypark and other attractions
Visitors and residents can both enjoy several opportunities to nab some candy during this spooky season in Hershey.
The Hershey amusement parks aren’t the only place to enjoy Halloween fun. The town’s Halloween parade begins at 7 p.m. on Oct. 13 near the Hershey Theatre, and will travel down Caracas Avenue, turn onto Valley Road, then turn again on Chocolate Avenue, then Ceylon Avenue, ending at the Hershey Company parking lot.

Hersheypark in the Dark
The Hersheypark in the Dark season will soon be under way, and visitors to Hersheypark can add a dash of Halloween spirit to their Hersheypark visit. The season runs for three weekends starting Oct. 15 and continuing through Oct. 31, with hours from 5-9 p.m. Fridays and 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Attractions include Treatville, a trick-or-treat trail with stops for candy open to guests ages 12 and under, in addition to several Hersheypark rides. Five of the park’s rollercoasters will be open, as well as special fall foods and Creatures of the Night programs at ZooAmerica next door. Read more about it here.
Food Network series “Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey’s After Dark”
The limited series “Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey’s After Dark” began airing on Sept. 27 on Food Network, but one weekend remains for visitors to Hershey’s Chocolate World to take part in the in-person special events.
Guests to Chocolate World can stop by and have a photo opp at a re-creation of one of the sets used on the show, which was shot in and around Chocolate World and Hersheypark. And if you stop by on Oct. 15, 16 or 17, you have a chance to grab one of 100 free s’mores given out at 11 a.m., or 100 free melted hot chocolates given out at 3 p.m. at the show’s kiosk.
