Manchester Airport Transportation

The Manchester Boston Regional airport is typically referred to as the Manchester Airport. This airport is a very large airport that was built in 1927. It attracts millions of travelers every year and it is located close to Boston, Massachusetts which is a very busy area and caters to the travel and transportation needs of its residents and tourists.

There are several options you can choose from to transport yourself to and from the Manchester Airport. Until June 2008 there was a shuttle bus that ran at a high frequency between the airport and Woburn and the Sullivan Square subway station located at Boston as part of Manchester Airport Transportation. The bus operated both ways on the same route. The service was free of charge for those who had valid airline tickets and the entire bus route took about 75 minutes to complete. When this service became highly popular, it was given to private operators who offer buses every hour to shuttle passengers to and from airport to several points in the North Massachusetts area and Boston City. This costs money (current known rates being $19 for a one way ride – subject to change) and prior reservations are required for the rides.

The Manchester Transit Authority gives an hour on hour bus shuttle between the Manchester airport and downtown Manchester. A new Highway Access is being built apart from the routes available through the local roads. The MBTA commuter rail may be a possibility in future that would be an extension of the Lowell Line to include Manchester Airport. There are private car rentals, vans and Limo services that are available too for those who prefer private transportation to public transport. With the Manchester Airport Transportation efficient transport is assured to all – those who want it affordable and also for those who do not mind the price tags as long as they get their comfort.
