We all know that Universal Orlando Resort is the perfect family destination. But what about when you want to do some “adulting” on your own? Well, here are my favorite things to do, both day and night, when I want to let loose and have some Solo fun!
The Blues Brothers Show
I loved the 1980 film “The Blues Brothers” as a kid. And now, as an adult, I get to rock out with Jake, Elwood, and all of their pals in this live show! I love live music and what better place to jam out to some of the classics then at Universal Studios Florida.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
What happens when you combine steel, music, and one-of-a-kind adrenaline pumping maneuvers!?! Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit of course! At 167 ft tall, this multi-sensory experience will take you to new heights, while enjoying one of thirty tracks from different artists and genres that YOU choose before liftoff! When it comes to #adulting, the Rip Ride Rockit is a must.
NBC Sports Grill & Brew
A day of #adulting can work up quite the appetite. And when the game is on or I’m just in the mood to watch some classic sports, I head to the NBC Sports Grill & Brew. They’ve got over 90 HD screens inside, a massive screen outside, and a sports-themed dining experience. It’s the perfect place to bring the gang or sit by yourself and enjoy the possibilities of over 100 bottles and drafts available!
Raptor Encounter
1993’s Jurassic Park is one of my favorite films of all time. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to meet a raptor—and now I can at Raptor Encounter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure! With the assistance of the most professional dino handlers, you can take a photo with one of these beauties! I met Ro and she was Dino-mite!
Universal CityWalk
When the sun goes down, there is only one place to do some serious #adulting—Universal CityWalk! There’s so much to do, like seeing a movie at the Universal Cineplex, getting irie with live reggae at Bob Marley’s A Tribute to Freedom, enjoying dueling pianos at the world famous Pat O’Brien’s, or getting on stage and performing with a live band at my favorite sing-a-long experience, Rising Star karaoke!
Souvenir
I never leave Universal Orlando without a souvenir. Although I love all of the themed attire, accessories, and collectibles, I prefer my souvenirs to be permanent. If you love an #adulting atmosphere, baller merch, and tattoos, Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company is the place for you and the place you’ll find me. Kong has always held a special place in my heart, from riding the original Kongfrontation with my dad as a kid to enjoying Skull Island: Reign of Kong with my loved ones now. He’s the character who I wanted to immortalize in ink before my day of #adulting was through.
Visiting Universal Orlando Resort with your entire family can be amazing, but taking some time to enjoy the parks Solo can be just as rewarding and fun!
