According to Jay Tacey, Busch Gardens zoological manager, a favorite method for keeping the park’s animals cool is providing frozen treats that are customized to their eating habits.

For Eddie the Clydesdale, a treat is made up of apples suspended in a mix of frozen water and orange flavored electrolyte powder, while the recipe for the grey wolf siblings Kaya and Beo includes hot dog pieces and yogurt.
