Disneyland for Adults

Disneyland for Adults

When you were little did you dream of meeting Mickey Mouse, hanging out with Donald Duck or causing mischief with Goofy? If you did then you are one of the many who longed to be part of Walt Disney’s magical animated world. Luckily for us adults this doesn’t have to remain part of a childhood fantasy that never materialised, because nowadays you can still take yourself along to Disneyland in California to laugh and play with some of your favourite childhood characters, even after you are all grown up.

From the outside, Disneyland may seem like a child only park, but don’t be deceived as there are plenty of things for the grown-ups to enjoy too; it’s not always all about the kids. Spending time in Disneyland without children in tow gives you so much more freedom to take in all that the park has to offer. You won’t need to worry about regular bathroom breaks or scary rides, Disneyland really is your oyster if you come without the kids.

There are some specific things to remember that can help give you the edge as an adult visitor to Disneyland. The first thing to remember, when you’re heading to the park as an adult, is to let go of your inhibitions and really let loose, there is no point in going if you are not prepared to act like a big kid for the week. Don’t be afraid to don your Mickey hat or get your picture taken with some of your long loved characters, The place is all about having fun so throw caution to the wind and get stuck in for a truly childish day out.

If you’re looking to beat the ride queues try going for lunch later than normal so you can fit in a few extra rides while everyone else is busy feeding their kids ready for the afternoon. It’s also a great idea to stay at the park in the evening as the place comes alive at night and will be largely free from children. There are also plenty of upmarket restaurants in the Disney resorts so once you’ve exhausted yourself you can get back to adulthood for a delicious grown up meal.

If you are heading here in a group then it’s a good idea to stay at one of the resort hotels as they offer free and regular transport to and from the park. Prices for these hotels can be expensive during peak time so if you want to save your money for eating out or entertainment, try one of the many hotels near disneyland so you can spend your cash on other things.

Holidaying in Disneyland may seem like a kids-only adventure but if you plan your time carefully and follow a few simple hints and tips you can still have an amazing time as an adult.
