Our Leaders within the Community – Colleen Nettekoven

It has been my pleasure to assist the CHOC Team with planning the Paint Your Way to Miracles and Magic fundraising event. The most rewarding part for me was providing creative input for this year’s mural artwork, watching the kids paint the tiles and meeting the current CHOC Walk Ambassador family. As a mom of three, having top-notch children’s healthcare in Orange County is something I personally care about, and knowing that CHOC and the Disneyland Resort are continuing the work that Walt Disney began back in 1960 is pretty special.

If you missed out on this event, there are two more events at the Disneyland Resort where you can support CHOC – Taste of Downtown Disney District on Aug. 10 and CHOC Walk in the Park on Aug. 27. Note to potential walkers – you’ll get to walk right by our finished mural – so watch for a nod to our favorite Mickey Mouse!
