Unavailable Attractions at Universal Orlando in September
Universal Orlando Resort is home to two theme parks and one wonderful water park. With so many attractions and shows around the Resort, from time to time some attractions need to close so that they can receive maintenance.
Here are the attractions and shows that will be closed for refurbishment in September.

Universal Studios Florida
Universal Studios Florida was the first theme park for Universal in Central Florida. Now, the Universal Orlando Resort is gearing up to open a brand new theme park, Epic Universe. You can read the latest construction update on Epic Universe here.
There are only two attractions/shows at Universal Studios Florida that will be closed in September:
- Curious George Goes to Town
FEAR FACTOR LIVE
The Fear Factor Live stage is the home of an all-new show for Halloween Horror Nights this year, which is why that continues to be closed.

The Nighttime Lights At Hogwarts™ Castle
Poseidon’s Fury
Unfortunately, the Nighttime Lights At Hogwarts Castle is temporarily unavailable in September. This is a show that adds great entertainment to the Islands of Adventure in the evenings. We hope to see this return soon.

Universal’s Volcano Bay
Despite it being September, in sunny Central Florida Volcano Bay can remain open year-round. Volcano Bay does not have any attractions scheduled for refurbishments in September.

With all of these refurbishments, it is important to remember that any attraction or show is subject to close unexpectedly due to poor weather, or technical difficulties. Also, anything on this list could reopen before the end of September.
What is important to your vacation is that you continue checking the Universal Orlando Resort app on the day you plan to enter the park for the most up-to-date operational status of any ride or show in the theme park.
